Accessibility statement
Transitions of PA wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities and people using assistive technology such as screen readers, magnifiers, voice control, or a keyboard alone.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard referred to by U.S. accessibility law and guidance. We test the site as we change it and fix problems as we find them.
What we do
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Images that carry meaning have text descriptions; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and controls meet WCAG color contrast levels, and the layout works when zoomed or on narrow screens.
- Animation stops if your device is set to reduce motion, and the moving sponsor logos have a pause button.
- The “Escape this site” button, or the Esc key, leaves this site at once for a weather website, for anyone who needs to close it quickly.
- The accessibility button in the lower left corner lets you change text size, spacing, contrast, and more. It adds to the steps above; it doesn’t replace them.
